Welcome. I'm Jennifer Lennon and am pleased to welcome you to Haustier Bernese Mountain Dogs. A little about me ... when I got my first Bernese Mountain Dog, the last thing in the world I thought I'd ever do is become a breeder! That was back in 1998 and as years went on, my love for this breed became all-encompassing and in 2011 I took the plunge. After much research, trials and tribulations, Haustier Bernese Mountain Dogs came to life.
Each and every aspect of my breeding program has not gone without tremendous thought and consideration. I have a small breeding program and produce 1 to 2 litters a year. With my goal in breed preservation and maintaining exceptional breed type, temperament and longevity, Haustier breeding dogs have thorough health clearances prior to breeding.
The Bernese Mountain Dog community is blessed with a breed database that catalogs health clearances throughout North America and even abroad. It is a fabulous tool that can be utilized by breeders to find potential breeding males or females to compliment their breeding program. But it is also a fabulous tool for potential puppy owners to do some research. Feel free to peruse the BernerGarde database at www.bernergarde.org. You will see in the dogs listed on the Haustier web site their BernerGarde numbers where you can reference these dogs and their relatives
